CARMEL, N.Y. – County Executive MaryEllen Odell and Chairman of the Putnam County Legislature Carl Albano invite Putnam County residents to mark their calendars and plan to attend the unveiling of the 2016 Putnam County Budget. Odell will present her 2016 Budget Address at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Putnam County Golf Course, 187 Hill Street, Mahopac, N.Y. during a formal meeting of the Putnam County Legislature. As she done in the past, Odell will introduce the budget in an open-to-the-public slide show presentation.
Putnam County will once again be hosting a Business Expo prior to the start of the budget address to highlight businesses, organizations and not-for-profits throughout Putnam. Community pillars such as Putnam Hospital Center and new arrivals such as the Brewster Bulldogs Professional Hockey Team will be featured. The Expo, which starts at 5 p.m., showcases a number of services offered for families through various county departments such as Health, Social Services, Youth Bureau, and Tourism. During the Expo video taken from the Traveling Wall display at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park will be shown.
