The state of Putnam County is strong. We are fiscally strong. We have a professional and qualified team to help us achieve our bold vision for the future. Putnam County is a great place to raise a family now and in the future. It was while thinking about the future that I decided to make 2017 the Year of the Millennial. They are our future and if we do not embrace the needs of the millennials then they may choose to live elsewhere.

At the 2017 State of the County Address, held on March 9 at the Putnam County Golf Course, I highlighted our successes of the past year, including the opening of over 300 businesses in Putnam County, as well as described my vision for the future. We need to support transit-oriented developments, such as the Envision Brewster project. We must work with Airbnb to move Putnam from a day-cation destination to a stay-cation opportunity. We must explore how companies such as Lyft and Uber can help our residents be more mobile.

Please watch the recap of my 2017 State of the County Address.
